Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial arts artist, currently competing at flyweight of UFC. She's older than her fellow UFC Fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sport career in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer. She first made an appearance at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko did well in the competition and was defeated by Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina took home a trophy of silver in 2007 and a medal of bronze in 2008 and a medal gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA Amateur Muaythai World Champion in the year 2016. Antonia started her professional career in by ringing in 2003. She took home the WKC K-1 World Light Welterweight Championships in 2012, The Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships as well as Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina defeated Isa Tudblad Keskikangas for her last fight at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by an unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko made the professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She was victorious via second-round TKO and then won the next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-3-0. Shevchenko put on a pause from MMA to focus on her kickboxing, and she returned to the ring to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui's fight in a unified decision. She defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 by unanimity. In 2018, she quit the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina employed her impressive striking ability in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. After this win, Antonina received the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi by split decision in her debut fight. Antonina recovered from her loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night bonus during the fight. Shevchenko was 1-2 over her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Recently, Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
